Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

As long as you are living, people will judge you. They will take you out of context and slap little labels on your forehead. They will criticize and form opinions. The world will still turn and you will still be you. If you’re basing your feelings off of what people assume, how true are you being to yourself? And as much of a cliche that it is, this is truly the most important thing. You live and you die. What happens in between depends on one person: you. Make your days count. Don’t allow yourself to get caught up in chaos. At the end of the day, you really only have yourself.

It’s not that I don’t believe everything happens for a reason, it’s just that.. I just think that some things are meant to be broken. Imperfect. Chaotic. It’s the universe’s way of providing contrast, you know? There have to be a few holes in the road. It’s how life is.

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.
